Eh? Did slowdown.exe not slow your computer down, or error out, or
what?

I'm using it on Win2K and it does indeed slow my system down. If I run
three instances of it with the top slider set all the way to "slow" I
can barely move the mouse.

I've found that there is a "sweet spot" between too much slowdown and
not enough. If I'm playing MP3s, one instance of slowdown.exe with the
slider all the way to "slow" will do it on my system, if I don't have
any other software running, I need a second instance with the slider
halfway in order for NCU to work well.

Try playing with the setting some that way and see if you can't get it
to work. I don't want to go back into the platform wars, but I wouldn't
wish Win9x on my worst enemy if there's Win2K available.

Also: at what speed are you attempting to synch?
