[NTLK] AW: MP120 contrast vs. 2000 (without backlighting)

I own both, an 120 and a 2k1 and have the same experience.
The readibility of the LCD-display depends strongly on the background, because it is a reflective display.
The background of the 120 (and all other Mp's having no backlight) is highly reflective and so yo have a very good readibility.
The 2k1 and all others WITH backlight need a display background which is both, reflective and transmittive for the backlight. Thats the reason why the deiplay with backlight is more green (type of backlight) and less reflective.
But I have seen reports talking about exchanging the backlight to a blue one. Thus you can enhance the readibility enormous.

Regards
Johannes

Betreff: [NTLK] MP120 contrast vs. 2000 (without backlighting)

I was comparing the screen contrast of my MP120 to my friend's 2000 over the
weekend, and my 120 seemed quite a bit brighter when compared to the 2000
without using the backlight. Is my friend's 2000 misadjusted. She tried
adjusting the contrast, but without the backlight, she could not make it
near as bright as the MP120.
Any thoughts on this?
Tom
