NTLK Freewwweb no more???

I don't get it. FW comes up the other day (Thursday) and says, no more FW.
Go get Juno. Sunday, access was terminated and all you could do is get their
banner page redirecting you to dl Juno. No other URLs would work.

I was pretty bummed to say the least, except that my DSL was hooked up
Saturday...just in the nick of time. But this still left my Newt out in the
cold.

Fortunately, the DSL came with a dialup account, and I was just hoping it
would let my poor Newt work. I thought I would give the FW access number a
try just to see what it was going to do, but, to my surprise and confusion,
it worked?!?!

Here is what I know. FW shares the same access number in my town with a lot
of other carriers, liek Juno and Earthlink. I think this is the case
elsewhere also. So, I don't know if this is why, and if eventually, my id
will be diabled and I am only able to browse right now because if I was on a
regualr browser, they would be able to redirect my URL lookups, and it just
isn't able to do that on the Newt. Or, is there a chance that my id will
continue to work. ANybody else have an idea about this? What is going on
with everybody elses connections? What is the best alternative?

On a side note, I had hooked up a coupel of dozen people with FW. Most are
going to be ok because they are on PCs. I have foudn alternate access for
one of the people with a PowerMac with AltaVista, but it seems to require a
PowerMac. I have a couple of other people with non-PM Macs. Anybody have an
idea what to use for them?

Thanks!
Drew
