Hey, play nice, children. Or dad will take away all your Newtons for at
least
four weeks. And there will be no TV, either. And no candy bars...

I, for one, am happy that this list is one that allows posting the
occasional
off-topic question without being rebuked two minutes later. Fact is that
there
are heaps of very competent people here who are more than willing to help
others with non-Newton related things, too. Personally, I have frequently
benefitted from this fact, so have others who I was able to help. I don't
think
a short off-topic mail, esp. when requesting private replies, will harm
anybody
here. I know I shouldn't say this one, but... if people would trim their
answers
to what is really necessary, we could have 20 off-topic questions in each
digest
and would still save space.
