-48809 is "Undefined method". Hmmm... Do you have any extension to your
Date applications? Any add-ons? If not, I would tend to think that this
might be a bug in LookOut, but since I don't use it, I can't tell for
sure. Are there a lot of entries in the Date? Is the error always
happening at the same place? Do you have any indication on the screen of
the Newton or your PeeCee as to what's being transfered when the error
pops up?

The other alternative would be to do a backup to an external storage
card with SBM Utilities.
