Ha ha. Time for the old "Half an inch in from the middle of the left side" trick.

Restart your Newton with the card inserted. After it has activated the internal packages but before it activates the card packages, tap and hold you pen on the screen about a half inch out from the middle of the left side. You will get a dialog asking if you want to activate the packages on the card. Say "no," and you'll be able to delete the package.

Try it, you'll like it!
