I will have to concur with my friend in that Power Computing gear was and
continues to be an inferior product compared to the UMAX clone and Apple
products.

I took over the administratiion of the MACs for a prepress facility two
years ago. WHen I came here, we had 7 Power Computing machines and 3 or so
MACs. The Power computing machines seemed to have more 'random' glitches and
needs for attention than did their apple (can you say quadra 700)
counterparts.

Fortunately for our site, we made a wholesale technology platform tradeout
and now run some 63+ G3PowerMac computers.

It has made my job easier.
