A notebook, be it powerbook or wintel, can use ATA type devices like
CF cards - the Newton can not. The ATA device is usually formatted
like a little hard disk drive, the Newtons Linear Flash card has the
Newton's own type of file system on it.

It probably would not be to difficult for an experienced MacOS
developer with driver-writing experience on a fairly low level to
develop something which can read this card in a Mac - and the same
would probably go for wintel.

To the best of my knowledge, however, nobody has done that yet, though ...
