Alex,

yes, of course. I was just pointing out to Bob that a MIDI implementation
based on the Newt's synthesizing capabilities might not be a good idea.
The QuickTime Musical Instruments are 2 MB, and that's certainly within
the Newton's reach. The question is how many channels the Newton could
cope with (Roger Milne might know this).
