Hi Alex,

Well there is Midix (http://www.t3.rim.or.jp/~hirose1/information.html) for
MIDI, but it requires a Mac MIDI serial interface. Pretty cool though.

If you want something that will play a tune with no additional hardware,
check out Roger Milne's fantastic Newton MOD player at
http://roger.trideja.com/newton/modplayer.html. It plays Amiga-style .MOD
files on the Newton. Too Cool!

Have fun!

Regards,

Gary

I have yet to see one, but I would think that the newton could handle
playing midi files. I'm not talking about a recording studio or anything,
just something to play the little midi files i download off the net. It
wouldn't even need the full compliment of instruments, just the piano or
something. Does such a thing exist? Seems like a neat idea anyway.

Alex
