Kick a$$. The trick was to set up the Newt with a "Generic Setup" in
Internet Setup - I had been using the "UNIX" option. Now I'm happily
surfing away from my beloved Newt.

NeXT question: do any Newton web browsers support https urls (SSL
encryption)?
