I haven't read the GNU license yet, but I guess that someone (maybe me if I have time) could modify the application to not use a copy protection anymore. That shouldn't be a big problem. I'll download the source and will have a look the next following days.

Oh, and please, if someone has the same idea, please, let me know so that we're not duplicating efforts and ending up with multiple different versions of the same thing, like the RemoteTown thing. I can easily leave you the fame and fortune...
