If that's the case (new stationery rather than an addition to the existing
stationery), CardMedia, by SineWare, was released as source some time ago
that allows the addition of new stationery to the names app. Might look at
that...

Wouldn't a simple Names stationary do the trick? Unless I'm mistaken, the
Names app uses the NewtApp framework, hence it supports the stationary
paradigm, even if it's not as evident as in the notes. However, I think that
when you change the card layout, that's what's happening. All those
different
layouts are just stationaries, I think. I'm sure somebody will correct me if
I'm wrong, but if that would be the case, it would be a lot easier to
program, since you wouldn't have to write the whole application.
