Well, there *is* a roundabout way of doing this but it requires Cadenza, a
PC (for loading Cadenza), a PowerMac, Lotus Notes 4.5x on the Mac and your
controlling a Lotus Notes 4.5x or 4.6x server running on Windows NT and
Intel hardware. If Cadenza is loaded onto the server for multiple user
sync, you can sync to the Notes Names and Mail databases, which would then
be accessed by the Mac client.

The problem with this setup is that it's pretty hard to get right and it's
also pretty expensive. Cadenza is free but Notes 4.6x is $2500 (if you can
still find it) and requires that NT server. If he's not running a PowerMac,
factor that cost in too. You're also stuck using the Mac 4.5x Notes client,
which isn't particularly stable in its own right.
