>When you have non-rechargable batteries in there it
>doesn't try to recharge them does it?

Correct. If it did, there wouldn't be many surviving 120's around as
the batts would react very, very angry to this treatment ;-)

>And if I get rechargable batteries
>will it charge them when I plug the power supply in the side?

If you get the Original Apple NiCd pack, yes. If you use off-the-shelf
NiCd's or NiMH's, no. But you can trick the 120 into believing the original
Apple pack is installed: Just put a piece of thin cardboard beneath the two
batts in the middle so that the small switch is depressed when you insert
them. If you do, the 120 will charge them just as if you had the original
Apple pack.

NEVER DO THE CARDBOARD THING WITH NON-RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES UNLESS YOU
HAVE A SPARE NEWTON AND A SPARE LIFE.
