I only just came across this thread so I don't know if this has already been
mentioned, but MoreInfo does this. When you are on someone's name card, and
you click on the MI button at the bottom (The toolbar as it were) you have
the following options:
    New Meeting
    New Weekly Meeting
    New Event
    New Multi-Day Event
    New Annual Event
    New To Do
    New Birthday
    New Anniversary
    New Call
    New Log
    New Linked Note
    New Name Card
    At a Glance

All but the last two assume you want to use the name card you are in as a
basis for the action and include relevant info (phone numbers, e-mail, etc).
