Hey all.

Every type of storage has 'blocks' of space. The Newt. has 4KB blocks. One single note that says 87 bytes is using one 4KB block.
One email looks like this...
-1 KB for message header.
-9 KB for message body.
1 + 9 = 10 KB, storage must be in 4 KB blocks, therefore 12 KB is used up.

Just like a two-page term paper, if yours is 1 and 1/2, how sheets of paper do you turn in?

Also, certain things will not be moved from one store to another unless a utility can do this. Some prefs. will not move, therefore taking up 'unseen' space. It's a good thing, move software out, re-insert software, your prefs. are still there to use software the way you used it before, especially reg. strings. ;-)

HTH!
