Hi Marco,
Okay, the eMate keyboard is identical in layout and materials to the Newton
external keyboard with a few exceptions, the most notable the use of
dedicated keys instead of a button bar. And this keyboard is very quiet, as
opposed to the Newton external keyboard which is noisy as hell. :)
The eMate does have a backlight and a larger screen. The brightness and
contrast is comparable to the MP...maybe a bit better. The larger screen is
very welcome!
It only has one PCMCIA slot, but it also has an audio out jack (mini-plug),
the NIC port, and a mini-DIN-9 jack.
