BUT:
The bigger memory allows to have more pks installed and active. This
will perhaps slow down the MP2k extremely. Also the search tree for
files will be extended extensively and thus the retrieval of data will
take much more time. Simple calc: 4 times the RAM gives a quarter of the
speed we have now. Finally we come down to the good old MP130 speed with
a little fragmentation.

I doubt the speed loss is that much if hardly. Only perhaps after a reboot to allow pkgs to load. I already have a 32 MB Card and the effect of speed is hardly noticeable when compared to a stock MP 2000.

Just an optimistic presumption...;-P
