Hello:

    There's an interesting article today on Go2Mac.com (formerly O'Grady's
Powerpage), describing how a Powerbook can be configured to use a "Wireless
Web"-enabled Sprint PCS phone as an external modem.

    From this description, it sounds as if -- with the appropriate phone,
and a $6 serial cable adapter -- the same procedure would work with a
MessagePad or eMate. (The phone used in the article is sold bundled with a
connection kit for $300.)
