It's very interesting this discovery, deporting the ROM in a memory that can be modified at will, it opens incredible perspectives. Pushing the idea to its extremes, we could even imagine a hypothetical NewtonOS3! :D

Yes, whether it is PCMCIA cards or the Newtons themselves, they do not lose memory, and are not affected, like us humans, by senility!
