In response to your message... note that I agree with you regarding data security.

Yet even if "security" is an end put forward in today's systems, is it true in practice?
I'm thinking especially of Android, where almost all applications can access address books, SMS messages... with the user's agreement, but if he doesn't give his agreement, then he will have no application!

I think that if we put all the Newton alumni to the test, they would do even better today. There's a little bit of the intelligence of all these developers in NewtonOS! ;-)
