I actually was thinking of the handwriting recognition on my Apple Watch as being descended from the Newton, the first time I used it. It's extremely reminiscent of how the handwriting recognition works on my eMate. I haven't used a Newton, but I would imagine it's not too dissimilar of an experience to writing on the eMate. Donna

You’d be amazed at how much of the Newton lives on, from SIRI as an assistant, to handwriting recognition on the Apple Watch, to dictation like Dragon.

But with a color screen and undreamed of storage space and cellular data and it fits in your pocket!
