[NTLK] NOOB Questions

Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions. I was unaware that the hinge failure rate was so high. Since I posted, I found two ImageWriter II cables on Amazon, some 2850wh NIMH batteries, and an Orinoco Gold on eBay so I am in good shape. Also found out that Victor Rehorst live near me and he graciously offered to let me use a serial cable.
