[NTLK] How bright is a (well-preserved) eMate's backlight?

I have and use one that I bought from Calvin Grier years ago. I like the brightness and it has held up well. He stopped selling them long ago. I am assuming that the one from Newton sales is the same.
The color is slightly blue.
