[NTLK] Almost dead Newton 2000 - how to fix it?

Hi Guys!

I need your help with Newton 2000 I bought couple days ago. I bout it as broken, but after change battery I discover that this unit give reaction for hard reset (message with question about erasing appear). Nothing else. So, I assume that Newton have some problem, but is not completely dead.

Any suggestions? What can I do to check if it is possible to fix this Newton?
