I will chip in where I can.

The 2100 has persistent flash memory, no need for a backup battery.
Something's wrong if you are losing everything when your battery goes flat
on a 2100.

Also, my 120 has a back up battery, I lose all memory on my 2100
when unplugged, does it lack this battery back up, or do I need to
disassemble and replace? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks.
