[NTLK] Mail V

Hello all,

I've used Mail V for some time now, but it's been the kind of send-email, check-back-later-on-for-response kind of actvity. This weekend out of curiosity I sent some messages using it, but stayed connected (i.e. there's the star at the top that leads to a window that says "connected" and offers to either disconnect ["Stop"], or the "X" to close the window). I also have the same email account set up on my Mac...I would receive responses on the Mac, but not on the Newton...even after repeated periodic clicking on the "Receive" button (with the INBOX open to Unfiled Items).

Is this the way it's supposed to work? I seem to recall reading or hearing that Mail V checked the respective mail server (that you were connected to) often, like Outlook or Mail does...there's not "push" technology at work here, is there?

I am connected through a Orinico Gold PC card to my wireless network...if that matters at all.

Thanks in advance for the help,
