  To further comment on this question, you can't use a Keyspan adapter  
in OS X's Classic environment with the OS X driver installed. You have  
to uninstall the OS X driver and then install the OS 9 driver under  
Classic. If you don't want to uninstall the OS X driver then you can  
just unload the Keyspan kext module using the terminal command "sudo  
kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/KeyspanUSAdriver.kext/". When  
you want to use the Keyspan adapter with OS X applications again then  
use command "sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ 
KeyspanUSAdriver.kext/"
