[NTLK] Just the Fax, Deux(d)

Last month, Neal Trembath queried the list concerning the Newton's ability to allow the end user to mark up (sign) an incoming fax and send it back. Apparently, this is entirely possible with the Newton, a fact that held little meaning for me until about 20 minutes ago.

My question: is the ability to mark up received faxes available with NOS 1.3? Or was it one of the enhancements that NOS 2.0 brought to the Newton? I ask because I can't recall if the MP120 I'd like to use for this particular task (and that I can't get my hands on at the moment) is running NOS 1.3 or 2.0.

Is there, perhaps, a primer posted somewhere concerning receiving and marking up faxes on the Newton? I ask because the two manuals I've looked at (one from 1994, the other an MP 2000 user's manual) mention nothing at all about marking up received faxes. I'm guessing because it's so unspeakably easy there's simply no need to write it up; the end user can figure it out.

However, being the belt 'n suspenders kind of guy I am, I would feel a lot better looking at a walkthrough of the process before I go hunting for the cigarette pack modem (assuming a walkthrough has been posted somewhere). I have spent some time looking around for one, but have had no luck. Anyone?
Or am I digging for gold with no hopes of finding any?
