The upside of the MyFi is that it works with any device that has wifi  
in it.

Lots of people on my street have Sprint MyFis for their net  
connection; no cable or DSL here, and no AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile  
3G coverage, so Sprint's it for faster-than-dialup.

(I use a Sprint 3G modem, but not a MyFi.)

As far as I know you should be able to set up a MyFi to work with a  
Newton with a wireless card; I don't have one myself, so I can't test.
