I've used it, because I'm on a connection with a monthly bandwidth
limit. Basically all it does is recompress image files. While it does
make pages download faster / use less bandwidth, it makes all the
images look completely awful.

And since the only pages I run across with large images are the ones
where I *want* to see the pictures, it's not very useful to me.

The big problem I have with Opera is the same one I have with Safari
- it doesn't let you set the cache size, and the default is so small
that it's fine for people with unlimited bandwidth, but for me it
wastes bits re-downloading things.

In Firefox I have 1.5 *gigs* of cache set. I very rarely have to
redownload unchanged images.
