Or you can just get a serial port adapter and throw it into a spare pci slot. I
know its going backwards in technology but that's one of the benefits of an open
pc, you can just about put anything into a spare slot. Less fiddling with
getting correct drivers etc as the Newt will see it as a normal serial port
assigned to a COM port.

Well, I just got a nice hand me down PC and guess what? No parallel or
serial port. Since I have to use dialup out here in the sticks, I had
to buy a USB modem. Can a Newton be successfully connected to a Windows
XP PC via USB?
