[NTLK] earlier Newtons and handwriting

As someone who has both early and late Newtons, I do think the
handwriting recognition on the later ones is far better than on the
early
ones. It is annoying since I prefer to carry around the smaller
earlier ones, but find them pretty useless for recognizing my
handwriting, even after trying to "train" them.
