Hi Joe:

Some good points... but I can't agree on all of them. What I like about Apple is the simplicity. I don't want anything extra, just the bare minimum in design, etc. And iPod video? Jobs is right in the long-term: I can't see anyone wanting to watch video for any length of time on a screen that small.

As for the current tech, it's great. I love Apple's trackpads, and user replaceable battery... I'll take Apple's new long distance batteries over anything else. For over 95% of us who don't need and/or use a second battery, it makes sense, and they have managed to provide, in Walt Mossberg's words, the best battery on any laptop he has ever seen.

I certainly don't wish Woz was running anything. Many times since he left Apple has he failed at companies and product development. He is a nice guy, but not someone who could run a company, and not the visionary that Jobs is. But it's like I always say, Steve Jobs will only be recognized as one of the greatest of all time well after he has passed, sort of like Nikola Tesla and Sigmund Freud. Until then, people will continue to bash him.
