Re: [NTLK] Dear Steve Jobs... (your help is needed)

What is wrong with this, let me count the ways.

1. You want to ask the person who despises and killed the Newton for help?

2. Even if he condescended to help, he is no longer in a decision-making
position for a MINIMUM of six months; probably forever. (Especially
given the SEC investigation that has just started.)

3. Where is the financial incentive? Neither he nor Apple need the
pittance such a fix would bring in, nor would they want to spend the
money it would cost them. Remember, they are in it for the money;
nothing else matters.

Now regarding other suggestions, I'm sure that there are many that could
reverse engineer the NewtonOS and find out exactly what would be
required to fix it. Then it could be released all over the world
possibly through peer-to-peer sharing. Perhaps it could be a
collaborative project.

If users REALLY are determined to keep their units viable, then they
should be willing to do ANYTHING to accomplish this besides
belly-crawling to kiss Jobs butt.
