[NTLK] How long will our Newtons last?

I've wanted to ask this question for a long time. I'd like to know for how many years in the future we can expect our Newtons to work fine. Batteries aren't a problem, but:

* Flash memory has a limited number of read and write cycles; can off-the-shelf flash RAM be used with Newtons, or is it some specific kind?
* How about digitizers? Is it a specific type of digitizer?
* Can we expect to see Newton-compatible flash cards in the future?
* Can we expect to see new printer & e-mail drivers? :P
