I actually picked up two used APC 1000's a couple years ago, just for this reason. I knew this was going to happen. I never could afford the $100 to replace the batteries. At least I make regular backups.

Besides, think of the money (electricity) I'll save by not running a Quadra 840av 24 hours a day... just for a firewall.
