I think that your place is lost only over a reset. So, you can close
the book, and come back to it unless your Newton resets. What I like
to do with Paperback books, is to copy some text from where I am, and
copy it to a note. Later, I can hilite the text in the note, and do a
find, and get to right where I was. Not as elegant or simple, but it
has worked for me.
