This is a catch-22 scenario.
In order to download apps via a newtork card, you need to have the network drivers installed...but if you can't install apps, then this will not happen.
I seem to remember that there were people on this list who participated in a "loaner card" program whereby a small deposit via PayPal or somesuch would get you a card in the mail with the necessary packages you would need to connect your Newton to various services including WiFi and the like...
Query the list for this and see who responds.
Then when you get the drivers, you can visit my page (see tagline) and download applications directly on your newt...I've configured my server so that the correct mime type is used to allow packages to download and install directly on your Newt.

  Hi,

I'm a collector of Vintage Apple computers for many years.
I recently started with the Newtojn PDA's as well. The first one I bought
was a Newton 2100.

Eventhough it had some stuff installed on the included flash card, I would
like to install my own applications.
There's just 1 problem: I don't have the serial cable with the dongle to
connect it to my Mac...
I have looked on Ebay for weeks: this piece seems to be impossible to find.

If there another way to connect the newton 2100 to my Mac to install
applications ? by network card ?

Regards,

Nico

Never mind that we just had an incredibly cold winter in North America and huge record snowfalls across the continent. As Al Gore said to a bunch of us the other day, these record cold spells and record snowfalls are actually caused by global warming. To which Jerry York replied, "Jeez then I guess we better stop this global warming before we all f**king freeze to death, eh?"
