Sure! When the Newtons were originally sold I was in college, and I
had a few jobs on the side doing Mac tech support and installations
and stuff like that. Even wrote some reviews and other articles for
Swedish MacWorld. Anyway, we bought a 120 through some special offer
to Apple Developer members, as I recall, and I loved the Newton, it
was the coolest thing. But... like so many others, I thought it was
too big/heavy and handwriting recognition was cool but a bit slow on
the 120.

So along came the first Palm Pilot, and it was tiny, really fast, and
cheap. I bought one and it just suited my busy life back then better
than the Newton. If I had had a 2000 or 2100 back then, things might
have turned out differently. I held on to the 120 though and only sold
it a few years later.

Fast forward 10 or so years to now. I've thought many times to try a
2000 or 2100 to see what it could do, and I've read that people have
equipped it with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and stuff. And I have an iPhone
and it's great, but in some ways the Newton still seems to beat it,
which is funny after all these years.

So the geek I am I want to see what 10+ old technology is like today,
and I'm waiting to receive a 2100 in the mail any day now, and I've
ordered both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards, and some other stuff too. I'm
sure I'll need help with some of it, and I'm glad I found this place.
It's also nostalgia and a part of me just wants some of that old Apple
technology to hang on to it for myself.

I'd also like to introduce newer Apple-fans to Newton. There are so
many switchers that never heard of it and I think they should know. So
perhaps I'll do an article or too on our site and in our newsletter
