Re: [NTLK] Review: Newton Connection Tools for Windows

I am attempting to get this to run on my Windows Vista Machine, but it doesn't recognize my USB-SERIAL Port connection. It gives the following error:
ie_BadID- Specified comport doesn't exist

However it does recognize that a comport is there as it labels it as Com:6.

I tried it under a virtual machine in my Win Vista Box and it worked perfectly. The virtual machine was running Win98 however.

I'm not sure why running it under Win Vista, that the program doesn't recognize the comports, even though it detects the existence of it.

Any suggestions anyone?

Hi Tony,

I'm surprised no one else has offered a review of the software for you.

I'm probably not the best one to do it as I don't use my Newton as
heavily as I once did.

Once you have installed the software and added your registration details the
software will be fully functioning and you can actually connect with your
Newton.
