Hi Wendy,

Happy New Year to you and your family.

Other than finding one of the elusive Cigarette Adapters made just for the
Newton I'd suggest a DC/AC converter and using your Newton Adapter. I do
this in a pinch...
In the states I purchased mine from RadioShack

I don't know of anything or anybody doing it directly from the car battery
other than what I've suggested.
