Have you thought about getting a local MacBook or MacBook Pro and simply ordering a US or UK keyboard and installing it on the machine? Sure would be cheaper than a transatlantic flight. The keyboard might be different but the ribbon connectors that connect them to the Motherboard are the same. Of course, we'd be happy for you to visit if you're so inclined.
Just a thought.......
