I've done this in the past by using BinHexer on the Newton:

You use BinHexer to binhex the Note, which then routes to the In/Out
Box, where you can email it to yourself (I use Mail V with a .Mac
account to send the file to myself). De-binhex it on your OS X Mac
using something like Stuffit Expander, and you'll have an .aif file
that you can use on your Mac.
