I have a simple motorola flip phone with a camera. It was free when I renewed my contract. My objection to the iPhone is not that it isn't a newton, but that it is expensive fluffware. I don't want to watch movies or listen to mp3's on my phone. Unlike some here, I carry differet devices for this purpose. I have a small digital camera that doubles as an MP3 player and does both still and mpegs. I carry my Motorola flip phone. And my Newton. The Newtons job is to be an extension of my computer activites. Not an extension of my desk top, But the portable computer activities I can take with me. Games, Ebooks, Bible, PDA etc.

The iPhone costs more than my current three devices and only takes the place of one to one and a half. That is why the iPhone does not impress me.
