It's like the clipboard in Windoze or MacOS.

If you highlight some text, tap-hold, then drag it off to the left it
will stay there. Drag it off and drop it onto some sort of text
field, ta-da cut and paste.

Highlight-tap-lift-drag gives you copy and paste.
