It is almost with shame that I have to admit that, although I am an
eager user of Newtons, my vote did not go to the Newton, but to the
Psion Series 3xx, wich I still consider (taking into account the
technical limitations of the era) the best PDA I have ever used.

Psion's OS and user interface for the Series 3 were so intuitive and
easy that the addition of a touchscreen in the Series 5 was actually
felt as a step back by many users.

I also found the Series 3a, with its magnificent office programs (Word,
Sheet and the superb Data) and pristine printer drivers, a better
generic portable computer for the time (the early-to-mid nineties).

The Newton is great, but the Psion 3a was a better overall performer.
