To go on from Woody's posting....

NewTen is great for package installation. I use serial through a
Keyspan USB/serial adapter (I've an iMac G5) and thence through the
dongle to the connector on the Newt.

NewtSync can be a bit flaky in my experience but when it works it's
fine - I use the serial connection as above.

I find wireless handy particularly if I want to send stuff directly
for printing using the LPR print package.
