If you search the archives there has been some discussion of cards
failing after a soft reset. I have done this (soft reset) many times
and not had a problem. I have had problems with Newtworks files
being corrupt. This has occurred when I was pushing its capabilities
by converting a large Newton book with images to works.

Have you tried putting the card in a different slot or resetting Newt
with card out and then inserting? Do you get any error message when
you insert the card?
